As kit car owners ourselves, we appreciate the importance of finding the right cover at a reasonable price, whether it be cover to get your new kit car home from the manufacturer, cover whilst in build, proof of insurance to get your new car registered, or cover for a kit car already on the road.  We are the preferred insurance source for many kit and specialist car manufacturers, looking after their needs on our exclusive scheme for over a decade.  So many manufacturers asked us to look after their customers insurance needs that we started our hugely popular build-up and on-the-road schemes, recommended by owners, owner clubs, manufacturers and magazines.

The MSM kit car build-up and kit on-the-road insurance schemes are intended for kits from recognised manufacturers, past and present, rather than one-off specials.  We can quote for most three  or four wheelers, with just a few exceptions.  In most cases cover is available to drivers age 18 to 74, up to a maximum of 4 drivers per policy, minimum 12 months full licence and UK resident.  Maximum insured value is £50,000 but cases exceeding £35,000 are subject to special criteria and require individual approval.

With MSM On the Road you can choose from third party Only, Third Party Fire & Theft or Comprehensive cover, but the maximum insured value under the TPF&T option is £5,000.  We can include commuting to / from work or limited business use at no extra cost and for an appropriate vehicle such as the Beauford, Royale or Vintage Replicas range we can also offer cover for wedding hire.

Discounts are available for limited mileage, limited number of drivers, membership of a recognised owners club, age of drivers, car age, lower value cars, selected approved security devices etc.  Furthermore the careful driver is rewarded with no-claims discount and this can in most cases be protected after the first year claim-free (minimum of 4 years NCD required for protected).  No need for a transferable no-claims discount either as we can mirror the record you hold elsewhere, even if on a company car.

Stage payments or full instalment facilities available, free green card for European travel.  Don't forget we can arrange travel insurance too!  Uninsured loss recovery / legal expenses cover is automatically included

UK & European motor breakdown cover (roadside assistance and full recovery) now available for just £42 annual to all MSM motor policy holders.

All quotes are subject to satisfactory proposal and other supporting information - we reserve the right to withdraw or change the terms of a quote, or in extreme circumstances restrict or withdraw cover.

Overnight garaging is required at the home address for all cars valued at £15,000 or more and in certain postcodes garaging is required irrespective of value.
